Hoi An Street Crowned One of the World's Most Beautiful

The Tran Phu Street in Hoi An, renowned for its ancient residences and the bi-monthly lantern celebration, has been recognized as one of the planet’s 71 most picturesque streets by Architectural Digest.

The American publication noted that Hoi An, once a thriving and bustling trading hub from the 15th to the 19th century, remains a popular destination due to various attractions, notably the monthly lantern celebration on Tran Phu Street.

The festival takes place on the 14th and 15th days of the lunar calendar, during which all the lights in the town are turned off and residents light a candle before placing it beneath a vibrantly colored paper lantern.

Tran Phu Street, which stretches for a kilometer, was once a bustling avenue during the French colonial era and is currently filled with Chinese-inspired temples and museums, restaurants, and stores selling souvenirs.

The listed streets also encompass the Old Town in France, Brunngasse in Switzerland, Setenil de las Bodegas in Spain, Aldama in Mexico, Jinli in China, and Tetsugaku No Michi in Japan.
