PM Abiy Launches Mesob Center: Revolutionizing Service Administration

On April 26, 2025, Addis Ababa — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed launched the Mesob One-Stop Service Center with the aim of tackling issues that have been sources of dissatisfaction for citizens regarding administrative services.

"Improving the aspects that lead to dissatisfaction among our citizens regarding administrative services is important to us. We launched the Mesob One-Stop Service Center today as part of this pledge," stated the premier in a social media update.

He mentioned that these three key aspects characterize the new hub: converting a rundown structure into a contemporary and visually appealing space; incorporating a homegrown software solution to enhance operations efficiency; and equipping novice experts to provide respectful and effective assistance with a fresh mindset.

The Prime Minister disclosed that twelve organizations have started providing 40 various services at a single location, allowing citizens to conserve time and obtain services more effectively.

"Building such systems tackles numerous challenges faced by our citizens and, gradually, will lead to increased public contentment," Abiy emphasized.

Today marks a significant step, and Ethiopia will continue to expand on this pilot to ensure better service delivery for all our citizens, he added.
