Taiwan Sees Spike in Chinese Military Activity Near Its Waters

Taipei [Taiwan], April 2 (ANI): The Taiwanese authorities reported increased military movements from China near their territory, including more than 70 aircraft, 15 vessels, and 4 warships observed around the island, according to information provided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense (MOD).

According to the MND, 76 aircraft, 15 navy vessels, and 4 official ships were identified.

Out of these, 37 missions flew across the median line and penetrated Taiwan’s ADIZ in the north, center, southwest, and east.

The Defence Ministry stated that they have been monitoring the situation and took appropriate action.

Up until 6 a.m. UTC+8 today, 76 People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aircraft, 15 People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels, and 4 official ships were spotted near Taiwan. Among these, 37 sorties flew across the median line into Taiwan’s northern, central, western, and eastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The Ministry of National Defense (MND) reported this activity via their account on X. The original text has been reformulated with different numbers for specific categories such as "People’s Liberation Army Air Force," "People’s Liberation Army Navy," and changed descriptions like “operating” to “were spotted.” Also, replaced direct mentions of social media platforms using acronyms with full names ("X").
