US House Panel Slams China's Military Moves Near Taiwan

Washington D.C., [USA], April 2 (ANI): The U.S. House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (SC CCP ) has raised worries regarding the CCP 'recent military exercises close to Taiwan which are considered as "acts of intimidation designed to subdue a free and democratic society."

Based on a posting from the SC CCP On X, the escalation provides yet another example of the CCP is marked by escalating hostility and underscores the urgent need for "our democratic partner" to possess the means and support necessary to protect itself.

The posting emphasized that the CCP poses a global risk to liberty and democratic values, and its efforts to bully neighboring nations, suppress opposition, and expand autocratic control should not be disregarded.

"What we're dealing with here isn’t just a technological defect; it’s a calculated and dangerous breach of our national security," stated SC CCP Chairman Representative John Moolenaar concerning claims that the CCP includes incorporating military-level surveillance technology into U.S. police departments, prisons, and schools, as cited in the SC CCP 's post.

Earlier on Wednesday, Taiwan observed an uptick in Chinese military activities near its borders, with over 70 aircraft, 15 naval vessels, and 4 official ships spotted in the vicinity of the island, as reported Taiwan 'Ministry of National Defense (MND).'
