IPL 2025: Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh Lead KKR to 204/9 Over Delhi Capitals
New Delhi [India], April 29 (ANI): Impressive performances during the match were showcased by Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh driven Kolkata Knight Riders ( KKR ) reaching 204/9 off their 20 overs against Delhi Capitals ( DC ) in the ongoing Indian Premier League ( IPL ) at the famous Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.
Following being invited to bat first by DC skipper Axar Patel Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine began the batting for KKR . Narine took on DC Dushmantha Chameera, the bowler, was hit for 26 runs in the second over.
Following his partner's assertive approach, Gurbaz aggressively attacked veteran fast bowler Mitchell Starc, scoring 17 runs off the first three overs until he was finally caught out by Starc with the final delivery. KKR Skipper Ajinkya Rahane subsequently joined Narine at the wicket.
KKR They reached 50 in the fourth over and concluded the powerplay firmly at 79/1, with Narine not out on 26 and Rahane scoring 21. Shortly after the powerplay, debutant Vipraj Nigam sent Narine back to the pavilion for 27 off 16 deliveries, which featured two boundaries and two maximums. Rovman Powell joined Russell for the last two overs. KKR they reached the 200-run milestone in the final over thanks to a six from Russell on the very first delivery. DC Starc struck back, dismissing Powell and Anukul Roy in successive deliveries. Russell was run out by Abhishek Porel on the second last delivery. KKR lost three wickets in the last over and ended up with a score of 204 for 9.
For DC , Mitchell Starc (3/43) stood out as the top performer among the bowlers. Vipraj Nigam (2/41) also made notable contributions with his bowling. Axar Patel (2/27) claimed two wickets each, whereas Dushmantha Chameera (1/43) secured one. Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav did not manage to take any wickets.
